Qualifications:
Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate preferred
Successful coaching experience or baseball background preferred
Ability to organize, supervise, and motivate student-athletes
Knowledge of OSSAA rules and regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Completion of all state-required coaching certifications and trainings
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize and supervise all aspects of the junior high and high school baseball program
Plan and conduct practices that promote skill development, teamwork, discipline, and safety
Teach fundamentals, strategies, and sportsmanship appropriate to student-athletes’ age and ability levels
Monitor academic progress and behavior of student-athletes
Maintain positive communication with players, parents, staff, administration, and community members
Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities
Ensure compliance with OSSAA policies, school policies, and district expectations
Assist with scheduling, equipment inventory, uniforms, and facility upkeep
Promote character, integrity, and pride within the Indianola baseball program
Work cooperatively with other coaches and school personnel to support the overall athletic program
Attend meetings, clinics, and professional development activities as required
Perform other duties assigned by the Athletic Director or Administration
