Description

Gore Middle and High School is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable paraprofessional to join our team. This position works closely with students receiving special education services—both 1-on-1 and in small group settings within the resource room and classrooms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping all students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in both individual and small-group settings.
- Assist the classroom teacher and special education teacher in implementing instructional and behavioral plans.
- Support students with daily routines, academic tasks, and social-emotional skills development.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, service providers, and families to support student progress.
- Model and encourage positive behavior and interactions among students.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support students and the overall learning environment.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Calm, patient, and positive demeanor, even in challenging situations
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to varying student needs and schedules
